Draft Hero League Sync

The first step is adding the extension to your browser. You will be automatically prompted to do this when you try to import your first league. Once you have the extension added, it’s time to import your leagues to the Draft Hero tool. Please don’t fret, it’s easier than you think, and while it varies a little from hosting site to hosting site, you can upload teams from virtually any hosting site, including Sleeper and MFL. 

There is no need to enter your league’s scoring rules and roster rules. All of that is done for you during the upload process. One thing you do have to do is double-check the settings and be sure that it links to the correct team. It’s not uncommon that it doesn’t, but with the easy edit features, it’s quickly adjusted with a few clicks, more on that to come. 

If you have tried to import a team and were unsuccessful, don’t worry; you weren’t alone. I had some challenges myself. The first thing you need to do is open a secondary tab in your browser window. See below.

Now select “Add League” and be sure to click which type of league it is. 

(Sleeper in this case) and that the league you are looking to import is what is open in the secondary tab. Draft Hero will look to pull that info, and you should automatically see the league you are looking to import. Note: the league number. This should be the league you are importing. Then simply click the Add League link.

At this point, you should see a pop-up box asking you to “Confirm Settings.” Once again, click the link and let Draft Hero do its thing. Once it has completed uploading, double-check the home screen to be sure it’s the correct league and team.

Under “My Team,” click edit and then make the selection from the drop-down menu. For some of my imports, I had to edit the team or select the correct team name others, I did not, but either way, it was a simple adjustment. 

Please note for Yahoo! leagues, and if you have an “account key” set up for security purposes, this will not synch or upload. You will have to change to a password security process to do so. 

Once the team is uploaded, please peruse the projections and rankings. These are all brought in from our own FantasyGuru.com site. It’s our (Jeff Mans) rankings and projections. These are the same rankings used for the Draft Hero draft tool as well. 

To use the Draft Hero draft app, you must have the draft room for your league open in an additional tab, just like when you imported the team initially. It takes a minute for the app to sync, so give it a couple of minutes. 

You may have to resynch during a draft, but the Draft Hero tool makes it easy to do with the options at the top of the page. “Start Draft Synch” is where you want to start the live draft process. You MUST make your picks, though, on the actual hosting site. In other words, making a pick on Draft Hero will not make your pick during your draft. But once you draft on the hosting site, your Draft Hero draft app will register each selection and make the appropriate suggestions. Remember that the app monitors ADP, your roster, and the FantasyGuru rankings to make educated suggestions for you. 

Another great tool you here is the ability to do a mock draft with your league settings from your draft spot. The mock is against AI, but it will use FantasyGuru’s rankings. In my opinion, this is an under-utilized tool considering mock drafts are only as valuable as the mock itself. In other words, the mock draft is useless if you mock with fools. That may seem harsh, but if you have used a Yahoo! mock draft room, you know exactly what I mean. You don’t have to worry about that with Draft Hero.
